The XSONIC SS175M is a stainless steel thru-hull tilted medium CHIRP transducer with a 9-pin element that is tilted at 20 degrees. It comes with a black-colored connector with nine pins and a cable length of 10 meters or 33 feet. The SS175M-1 internal broadband ceramic assembly is also included, along with sensors for depth and temperature that have a quick reaction time. The transducer hull is made of stainless steel.

This transducer is suitable for boats made of steel or aluminum and is recommended for boats up to 11 meters (36 feet) in size. It has a usable shaft length of 71 millimeters (2.80 inches). The medium-frequency (M) chirps range from 85 kHz to 135 kHz, with a beamwidth ranging from 24° to 16°. It has an overall bandwidth of 50 kHz, which is generated by a single transducer.

In addition to all other frequencies present in the spectrum, this transducer supports the common fishing frequencies of 88 kHz and 107 kHz. One of the advantages of using the medium-frequency is its ability to sound than the high-frequency, while still providing superior target resolution compared to the low-frequency.
