AFTCO Fiberglass Gaff 48

The AFTCO fiberglass gaffs are designed with a special thick-walled and lightweight e-glass handle construction for maximum strength and rigidity. These handles are custom made with specific tapers developed by AFTCO and are available in lengths of 4′, 6′, and 8′. The hooks used in these gaffs are made of 316L or N50 stainless steel, similar to our popular Taper-Tip aluminum series of gaffs.

To assemble the hooks into the e-glass handles, we use our exclusive wedge-lok assembly process. The fiberglass gaffs have an attractive dark brown epoxy finish with hand-wrapped black, metallic gold, and blue thread trim wraps. The handles are wrapped with black nylon seine cord, providing both aesthetics and functionality. Additionally, the handles have hand-finished Turk's heads on each end of the wrapped grips.

To ensure durability and a secure grip even with wet or slimy hands, the seine cord and Turk's heads are finished with epoxy. Each handle is finished with a large rubber mushroom-style butt cap. The fiberglass gaffs are available with 2″, 3″, and 4″ hooks. The 2″ and 3″ hooks are made of 5/16″ diameter 316L stainless steel, while the 4″ hooks are all N50 stainless steel. Both the 6′ and 8′ models of the gaffs float for convenience.

Please note that the handles and grip are made in China, but all hooks and assembly are done in the USA using materials sourced from the USA.
