The Garmin GPSMAP 1242xsv is an advanced chartplotter/sonar combo that comes with a 12-inch color screen, a keypad interface, and a control knob that can be used for various functions. With 250 W of high-wide CHIRP and 455/800 W of CHIRP ClearVü/SideVü, this device comes with a transducer that can be used to scan the underwater environment. If you prefer not to use the transducer, an alternative option is available.

The device includes preloaded U.S. LakeVü g3 maps and BlueChart g3 charts that have Navionics data and Auto Guidance1 technology already built-in. Additionally, the Garmin Marine Network makes it possible for multiple units to share sonar, maps, user data, dome or open-array radar, IP cameras, and Panoptix sonar, making it an all-in-one networking solution.

The device also comes with CHIRP ClearVü and CHIRP SideVü scanning sonar from Garmin built-in.
