The ACR 2914 Pathfinder Pro SART Non-Hazmat Search & Rescue Transponder is designed to comply with IMO SOLAS regulations. When it is interrogated by radar, it returns 12 intense blips to the vessel's radar screen, greatly assisting in search and rescue operations. With a superior lithium battery, it can provide over 96 hours of standby operating life (waiting to be interrogated) and 12 hours of active operating life (while being interrogated).
This compact transponder comes with a sleek wall mount for easy accessibility in emergencies, while keeping it out of the way when not in use. It also has an attached telescopic pole, allowing it to be positioned at a maximum height for visibility from a life raft. Alternatively, it can be suspended inside the craft for hands-free usage.
A SART (Search and Rescue Transponder) is mandatory for all commercial vessels that must conform to GMDSS, as well as any vessel carrying more than one life raft. The carriage requirements are as follows:

- Vessels with 300-500 Gross Register Tonnage (GRT) must carry a minimum of 1 SART.
- Vessels with over 500 Gross Register Tonnage (GRT) must carry a minimum of 2 SARTs.
