Please note: This FELL Marine MOB+ accessory requires an xTAG or an xBAND (sold separately).
The FELL Marine MOB+ xFOB is a wearable device that is part of the MOB+ Wireless Man OverBoard System. It is designed to ensure your personal safety when out at sea. The xFOB is small and discreet, but it is equipped with innovative wireless technology.
Traditionally, boats have used corded kill switches that limit your movement to a small area onboard. However, with the MOB+ Wireless Cut-Off Switch, you can regain your freedom without compromising safety. If you happen to fall into the water, the engine(s) will stop in just one second.
The FELL Marine xFOB can be used in different ways with the xBAND or xTAG accessories (required – sold separately). You can carry it in your pocket, clip it to your life jacket, or wear it on your wrist or around your neck. The xFOB is powered by a standard coin cell battery that is easy to replace and has a battery life of over 300 hours.
The xFOB fits perfectly inside the xBAND and xTAG (required – sold separately). This allows you to choose how you want to use the MOB+ Wireless Cut-Off Switch. When placed in either the xBAND or xTAG, the xFOB doesn't restrict your movement or motion.
The operation of the MOB+ system is simple. When you step aboard your boat, press the xFOB to connect it to the xHUB. A green light and an audio signal will confirm the connection, and you can start the engine. If a person falls overboard, the engine will automatically shut down when the xFOB is underwater or 10-15 meters away from the xHUB. After a 6-second delay, passengers can restart the engine to rescue the person in the water.
When leaving the boat, simply press the xFOB once to disconnect. Only one xFOB can be connected at a time, but multiple users of the same boat can have their own personal xFOB. The xHUB can store up to 20 xFOBs (if more than 20 are paired, the first ones that were paired will be deleted).
